CASEing the Catty #535 - CASE the Annual Catalogue

CASE Stampin’ Up!s Annual Catalogue meets Ornamental Christmas

Hello, welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea & #535 Challenge with CASEing the Catty.

I am so glad you have dropped by. You may have come from Monique Fielder, as you take this week’s Blog Hop or perhaps arrived directly here; either way I am delighted you are here. At the end of my blog, I have linked to Peta Stephen so you can continue with the Blog Hop.

At CASEing the Catty we love to use the samples from Stampin' Up! Catalogues & On line Exclusives as inspiration and each week we have a different theme to guide our CASEing. To CASE is to "Copy And Selectively Edit" or some say "Copy And Share Everything". This week we are CASE-ing the projects found in the 2025-2026 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.

I am CASEing one of the cards on page 40 that has been created to showcase the Florals in Bloom Suite. I love the layout of the card at the top of the page and also the lateral use of one of the wonderful Party Banner dies. CASEing those aspects I have used parts of the Modern Christmas suite (a soon to be released On-line Exclusive) together with the Words for the Season bundle (from the coming September-December Mini Catalogue).

While I have been someone who uses very little Black in my projects I am really taken with the Modern Christmas Speciality Designer Series Paper. It is luscious and striking featuring Basic Black, Basic White & Gold. The stunning gold stars on a black background design was used as the background for this card.

The trees were stamped and die-cut using the Ornamental Christmas bundle. One of the techniques used was heat embossing on speciality papers, that is on Gold Foil and the gorgeous  Secret Sea Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper. I hadn’t stamped on this type of speciality paper previously so was excited to see the results. It opens up new horizons.

A panel of Thick Basic White card-stock was cut with a Party Banner die. I do like to use this card-stock when I am going to pop it up on Dimensionals. The two black trees were adhered directly to the banner where-as the gold and white tree was also popped on Dimensionals. A section of Gold Foil was adhered to part of an Adhesive Foam Sheet before being die cut with a die from the Words for the Season dies. The word “Greetings” was white heat embossed onto Basic Black card-stock and cut with a die from the same set of dies. This was popped on Mini Dimensionals - they are the perfect size.

Final touches included some Basic Black splattering, a double bow using the Black & Gold Twine from the Modern Christmas suite. A number of Black Shimmer Star Foam Stickers were strewn around.

The inside of the card was stamped with trees from the Ornamental Christmas stamp set and the sentiment is from the Words for the Season stamps. A Basic White C6 envelope was also stamped with the same trees.

Thank you so much for dropping in on your way around the CASEing the Catty Blog Hop for Challenge #535. I do so appreciate it.

CASEing the Catty #532 - CASE An Project Featuring Animals

CASE A Project Featuring Animals meets Hugs & Healing

Hello, Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and #532 Challenge with CASEing the Catty.

I am so glad you have dropped by. You may have come from Rebecca Scurr, as you take this week’s Blog Hop or perhaps arrived directly here; either way I am delighted you are here. At the end of my blog, I have linked to Monique Fielder so you can continue with the Blog Hop.

At CASEing the Catty we love to use the samples from the Stampin' Up! Catalogues as inspiration and each week we have a different theme to guide our CASEing. To CASE is to "Copy And Selectively Edit" or some say "Copy And Share Everything". This week we are CASE-ing projects that feature animals. The card I CASED can be found on page 95 of the 2025-2026 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.

Here is my card adjacent to the  card I CASEd in the Annual Catalogue

I have been time poor & not well so I decided to create a simple CASE of a card on page 95 - one with a line drawing of a little dog. I couldn’t resist using a different dog as the focal point. The Hugs & Healing stamp set include really cute images and as I only recently heard about a friends illness this image seemed perfect.

I coloured this cute little dog with Stampin’ Blends combos, ie Cloud Cover, Misty Moonlight, Crumb Cake and Secret Sea plus my trusty Colour Lifter. He was then fussy cut.

The card base is Basic Beige as is the panel spanning the card with the sentiment. A Basic White card-stock panel was layered on the front then a smaller piece of dappled Basic Beige DSP (from the coming Peaceful Garden DSP) was dry embossed with the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder. This embossing folder is now on the “Last Chance List” so if you like it act quickly before it sells out.

Finishing touches included adding some Basic Beige paw prints, a little Secret Sea splattering, Secret Sea Faux Linen Ribbon and some Secret Sea In Colour Flat Pearls.

Thank you so much for calling in on your way around the Blog Hop for CASEing the Catty Challenge #532.

CASEing the Catty #526 - CASE A Tag Sketch

CASE A Tag Sketch meets Charming Day

Hello, Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and #526 Challenge with CASEing the Catty.

I am so glad you have dropped by. You may have come from Julia Quinn, as you take this week’s Blog Hop or perhaps arrived directly here; either way I am delighted you are here. At the end of my blog, I have linked to Peta Stephen so you can continue with the Blog Hop.

At CASEing the Catty we love to use the samples from the Stampin' Up! Catalogues as inspiration and each week we have a different theme to guide our CASEing. To CASE is to "Copy And Selectively Edit" or some say "Copy And Share Everything". This week we are CASE-ing the sketches for tags found on page 24 of the 2025-26 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.

The tag sketch I am CASEing is the sketch on the top row and 2nd from the left.

My CASE uses some die cuts overlapping circles in the background with flowers sitting on the largest circle. Instead of landscape, my card is portrait. The sentiment is in a different position but is a long straight sentiment. That is the thing with CASEing - sometimes you can take aspects of the sketch or project, but not everything.

I had a number of different sized circular Stylish Shapes die cuts on my desk, so played with them to find a nice arrangement on a card front. Before adhering them down, the Basic White panel was de-bossed with the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder. A little partial blending was added to a few of the die cuts to add some Darling Duckling glow.

The larger image from a coming On-Line Exclusive called Charming Day bundle was stamped onto some Basic White card-stock in one of my favourite inks from the new 2025-2027 In Colours, ie Secret Sea. The flowers are so pretty and beautiful to colour.

The flowers and leaves were coloured with Stampin’ Blends combos, that is Berry Burst and touches of Fresh Freesia for the flowers and Granny Apple Green for the leaves and touches of Colour Lifter to add highlights. This was die cut with coordinating Charming Day dies.

A piece of White ribbon from the Ribbon Starter pack was cut in half lengthwise and both pieces were tied into a bow and tucked under some of the leaves. I had some sentiments made with the More Messages stamp and dies on Secret Sea card-stock so used the Happy Birthday greeting as it was long and thin like the sketch. A few Berry Burst Purple Fine Shimmer Gems were scattered around to add a little glimmer.

Just a little simple stamping of the larger floral stamp in Secret Sea Classic ink was added to the Basic White card inner with a little Darling Duckling blending. A Basic White C6 Envelope was decorated in the same way.

Thanks so much for calling in on your way around the CASEing the Catty Blog hop for Challenge #526.

CASEing the Catty #519 - CASE the Annual Catalogue

CASE The Annual Catalogue meets Pretty Florals

Hello, Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and #519 Challenge with CASEing the Catty.

I am so glad you have dropped by. You may have come from Julia Quinn, as you take this week’s Blog Hop or perhaps arrived directly here; either way I am delighted you are here. At the end of my blog, I have linked to Judy May so you can easily continue with the Blog Hop.

At CASEing the Catty we love to use the samples from the Stampin' Up! Catalogues and On-Line Exclusives as inspiration and each week we have a different theme to guide our CASEing. To CASE is to "Copy And Selectively Edit" or some say "Copy And Share Everything". This week we are CASE-ing something from the new 2025-2026 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. So much to choose from.

The card from the new Annual Catalogue that I CASEd is from page 58 within the Kintsugi Inspirations section. Here is the card I CASEd.

I love the tone on tone with the frame and simple contrasting flowers. I have created a card featuring tone on tone but with Lost Lagoon, an embossed background and flowers stemming from 2 opposing corners - as you can see below.

The Lost Lagoon card-stock background was embossed with the Plaster Painting 3D Embossing Folder. The frame die from the Gallery Blooms dies cut a frame from the Lost Lagoon “B” side of the Storybook Moments Designer Series Paper.

The flowers both die cut and stamped are from the Pretty Blooms bundle. The die cut flowers were cut from Basic White card-stock and gently coloured with Petal Pink ink. This colour together with Calypso Coral stamped some of the flowers from the Pretty Florals stamp set. The leaves were stamped in Lost Lagoon and die cut leaves were left white.

The Sweet Blooms bundle was used for the sentiment.

The card was finished with a double bow of White Bakers Twine and a few Riverside Pearls.

A Basic White panel of card-stock was added inside the card.

Both the card inner and the C6 Basic White envelope were stamped with leaves and flowers.

Thank you so much for calling in on your way around # 519 Challenge Crew Blog Hop. I do appreciate you spending time with me on my blog.

CASEing the Catty #489 CASE a Bundle

CASE A Bundle pgs 39-50 meets Hang an Ornament

Hello, Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and #489 Challenge with CASEing the Catty.

I am so glad you have dropped by. You may have come from Peta Stephen and Marvi, as you take this week’s Blog Hop or perhaps another way; either way I am delighted you are here. At the end of my blog, I have linked to Judy May so you are easily able to continue with the Blog Hop.

At CASEing the Catty we love to use the samples from the Stampin' Up! Catalogues as inspiration and each week we have a different theme to guide our CASEing. To CASE is to "Copy And Selectively Edit" or some say "Copy And Share Everything". This week we are CASE-ing a project that is inspired by a bundle and project  found in between pages 39-50 of the 2024 September-December Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue.

There are so many delightful bundles between pages 39 and 50 of Stampin’ Up!s September - December Mini Catalogue. For this week’s challenge I chose to CASE the white background card on the left on page 44. Specifically I have CASEd the colours of the card using the same bundle and also took inspiration from the visible section of the spruce Christmas Tree shown at the top of the page with ornaments hanging.

Here is my card:

As you can see, I still have a majorly white background but have changed a bauble colour for Cherry Cobbler and used Old Olive Classic ink to blend over the spruce frame from the Winterly Tree Tops dies using a Blending Brush. The spruce frame was cut twice and one was turn turned 180deg and layered on top of the other one. This give a more luscious feel to the frame. Sitting behind the spruce frame is a Basic White panel dry embossed with the Birch Wood 3D embossing folder. Rather than a Basic White card base, Pretty Peacock card-stock base was used.

The Hang an Ornament bauble stamps were inked in Versamark ink and white heat embossed  on each Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock and Cherry Cobbler card-stocks. The coordinating die from the Hang An Ornament dies cut out the baubles. The bauble top and hook were die cut from Gold Foil. These pieces add a special touch and are easily adhered in place.

"Merry" was stamped / white heat embossed twice on Pretty Peacock card-stock and fussy cut  to add to the Pretty Peacock bauble. "All is merry" was white heat embossed on Lost Lagoon card-stock and die cut with the thin rectangle die from the coordinating dies. The sentiments were popped up on Dimensionals to the baubles.

Two pieces of die cut holly was also coloured with Old Olive ink. They were positioned with Glue Dots and the oh so gorgeous Cherry Cobbler (& Pearl) Adhesive-backed Berries were added to the holly and scattered over the baubles. The Cherry Cobbler & Gold Satin Ribbon was cut in half lengthwise and tied into a double bow, then adhered to the top bauble with a Glue Dot. A little Pretty Peacock splattering was added using a Stampin' Write Marker.

A couple of remaining white heat embossed baubles were adhered to a Basic White card inner and some Gold Foil bauble tops and hooks were adhered in place. A Basic White C6 envelope was stamped in Lost Lagoon ink with a couple of baubles and sentiments.

Thank you so much for spending time with me. I so appreciate it. I hope you found something of interest. x
