CASEing the Catty #595 - CASE the November Online Exclusives

CASE Stampin’ Up!s November Online Exclusives meets Cottage Kindness, Detailed Wreaths Accents +

Hello, welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea & #595 Challenge with CASEing the Catty.

I am so glad you have dropped by. You may have come from Julia Quinn , as you take this week’s Blog Hop or perhaps arrived directly here; either way I am delighted you are here. At the end of my blog, I have linked to Peta Stephen so you can continue with this Blog Hop.

At CASEing the Catty we love to use the samples from the Stampin' Up! Catalogues as inspiration and each week we have a different theme to guide our CASEing. To CASE is to "Copy And Selectively Edit" or some say "Copy And Share Everything".

This week we are CASE-ing the projects found on the official Stampin' Up! web site for the November Online Exclusives.

Here is the card I CASED. The card was created to showcase the Cottage Kindness bundle. Some of the dies in this bundle are Impressions dies where The die and cardstock are passed through the Cut 'n Emboss machine with an Impressions Plate. Seeing this sample I wanted to try out the new frame from the dies and the way some Designer Series Paper was added over the centre section within the frame. As such I CASEd the layout and use of the same frame die. However, the wreath I added is from a different product, my colours and DSP are quite different as well. Also, I am still in Christmas card making mode so my card is to send to a friend for Christmas.

The Designer Series Paper I chose was the Whispering Woods DSP. A portion of the payment for this pack goes towards nominated charities. I love the way the sales of packets purchased in Australia goes to an Australian charity - which means charities around the world are benefiting from sales of this paper.

I stayed with the colours of the DSP for my colour scheme, apart from the addition of a few little flowers.

My wreath is from the Detailed Wreaths Accents. There are so many different laser cut wreaths in the pack. I chose a wreath with similar leaves to those on the DSP. The wreath was coloured with Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce and a little Garden Green Classic inks to coordinate with the DSP. Inks were applied with Blending Brushes. Behind the wreath is a Basic White wreath die cut using the oval-ish die from the NOEL Tidings dies.

The sentiment also sits inside the wreath. It comes from the Pretty Poinsettia stamp set. Some of the White Textured ribbon was cut in two lengthwise and one piece frayed to have fine thread and part ribbon to tie a bow. A few Adhesive-backed Faceted Dots were sprinkled around the wreath. I love these embellishments.

The inside of the card was simply decorated with a left over piece of DSP and another sentiment from the Pretty Poinsettia stamps. Pretty Peacock Stampin' Blends were used to colour "JOY". A C6 Basic White envelope was also decorated with coordinating DSP - it was adhered to the flap.

Thank you so much for dropping by to see how I interpreted this weeks Challenge. I do appreciate you calling in.
