Shy Shamrock with Playing in the Rain
Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week we are focusing on another 2024-2026 In Color before we address the other Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order, focussing on one colour each week.
This week’s Blog Hop is showcasing a bright clear green called Shy Shamrock. Shy Shamrock is one of the new 2024-2026 In Color Family and is a wonderful bluish green that can coordinate with many colours. This colour would be lovely for leaves, and bright colour schemes.
Shy Shamrock is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads & re-inkers); Stampin' Write Marker; Stampin’ Blends Combo; In Color Designer Series Paper as well as Unbounded Beauty and Full of Life DSPs, In Color Glimmer Paper, In Color Shimmer Gems, In Color Resin Dots, Bordered Ribbon and a range of other products.
The rabbit from the Playing in the Rain stamp set was stamped in Smoky Slate Classic ink on Basic White card-stock, as was some clouds, daisies, and the sentiment. The rabbit was coloured with Shy Shamrock, Smoky Slate, and a touch of Bubble Bath Blends Combos. The daisies also had some Daffodil Delight in the centres. Touches of Pool Party Blends were added to the clouds.
The rainbow was created with thin strips of Pretty in Pink, Peach Pie, Daffodil Delight, Shy Shamrock, Blueberry Bushel, Highland Heather, Petunia Pop and Smoky Slate. There is a little surprise when you open the card - but more of that later. Shy Shamrock splattering was added to the card front with a Stampin’ Write Marker.
A circle was cut through both the front of the card and the extra card front using the Everyday Detail dies. The card front was dry embossed using the new Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder. The smallest circle in the Everday Details dies cut out the sentiment.
The shamrock was made with 3 tiny hearts cut using the little hearts die from the Adorning Hearts dies. Some of the Shy Shamrock Bordered ribbon was frayed and the threads were adhered behind the label. The final touch was the addition of some Shy Shamrock In Color Shimmer Gems provided a touch of bling. These embellishments are wonderful - so pretty.
Now to the inside. When the card opens the rainbow slides up and reveals a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The sentiment wishes for a year filled with incredible possibilities - maybe finding gold and or love/friendship or something else special. It is hard to see in the photograph, that the rainbow is pulled up as the card opens. Inside the card there is also a second layer with a hole cut in exactly the same position as the holes in the card front. The rainbow will be tucked in through the hole and behind the panel to enable it to slide. The sentiment from the Encircled In Nature bundle was stamped under the hole. A pot from the Cottage Flowers bundle was stamped in Smoky Slate ink and then coloured with Shy Shamrock & Smoky Slate Blends. Gold foil hearts were cut with the same die from Textured (Foil) Speciality Paper. Many gold hearts were added to the pot and a few others were sprinkled around.
To allow the inside of the card to be part of the story, the back of the card was decorated with a turtle and extra daisies for writing one’s personal message. A C6 Basic White envelope was also stamped in Smoky Slate ink with the cute little turtle. Some splattering was added with a Shy Shamrock Stampin’ Write Marker.
